At the same time, good ventilation under the roof and panels is important, also for cooling. That’s why bird combs are a great solution. They are easy to install under the roof edge or in other places where ventilation is needed without giving birds a chance to take shelter.
A flexible and more affordable form of bird control is bird wire. With bird wire you can prevent pigeons and other birds from perching on edges and ledges and fouling them. The wire is made of stainless steel with a nylon coating and must be tensioned between posts using wire clamps. This system is almost invisible, making it ideal if you are looking for a discreet solution for a nice façade or house. Keep in mind that it requires a little more installation effort.
Bird spikes prevent birds such as seagulls or pigeons from landing in certain spots. Because pigeons are often the main source of nuisance, spikes are also called pigeon spikes. The strips are easy to install, for example on edges, balconies, or roofs. With balcony clips and window clips, pigeon spikes can also be mounted on gutters, windows, and beams. The spikes are blunt-ended so birds are not injured — they simply fly off to another place. Thanks to bird spikes, there’s no need to remove droppings from hard-to-reach places anymore.
