BIR004 stainless steel bird post 120mm
Stainless steel threaded rods as part of the bird deterrent wire system to tension wires at the correct height.
Lengths vary depending on the application, with a choice of an anchor plug or a plastic base.
Use a 120mm threaded rod in combination with the 25mm anchor plug to install the first wire on the edge at approximately 100mm height.
Bird deterrent system explanation:
The bird deterrent wire system is a flexible system that, when used correctly, can lead to excellent results for deterring pigeons on edges and ledges, among other areas. The materials are mainly made of stainless steel.
The thin nylon-coated stainless steel wire should be tensioned between threaded rods using wire clamps. The threaded rods should be placed at a maximum distance of 150cm. The wire is tensioned with a micro spring on every second rod, so tension up to 3 meters per spring. The rods can be attached by drilling (using the 25mm anchor plug) or screwing/gluing (using the plastic base). Where it ends at a vertical wall, an anchor plug (25mm) with a split pin (25mm) can be mounted in the vertical wall to complete the wire.
Threaded rods are used to keep the stainless steel bird deterrent wire at the correct height above the edge or ledge.
For effective pigeon deterrence, it is recommended to apply at least two rows. The front row, at approximately 20mm from the edge, should have a wire height of around 100mm. The second and subsequent rows should have a wire height of around 130mm. Due to the two height differences and the two different mounting methods (drilling with anchor plug, or assembly with plastic base), the threaded rods are available in 4 different lengths.
Stainless steel bird deterrent wire should be attached with loops.
Wire clamps are used to make loops.
With the special crimping tool, the wire clamps can be fixed onto the wire.
