The TilVent stainless steel ventilation shaft is an elegant solution for ventilating crawl spaces, basements, fireplaces, heat pumps, heat recovery systems, and stove top extraction systems, among other ventilation needs. The TilVent stainless steel ventilation shaft complete set consists of three components: a stackable shaft of 500mm, a cap with excellent protection against rainwater, and a mesh module in the cap for animal prevention. The ventilation shaft allows for good ventilation as it is positioned well above ground level. The system is designed for both new constructions and renovation applications. It can be connected to a vertical duct located somewhere in the outdoor space and is not bound to underlying structures, thus providing a lot of design freedom.

The TilVent stainless steel ventilation shaft should be connected to a vertical pipe. For ventilation penetrations below ground level, it's important that condensation and any invading moisture are drained. Preferably, this is done through a recess at the bottom of a bend piece or through a T-piece lying in a gravel pit. The risk of incoming moisture cannot be completely eliminated with this system and thus it is not waterproof. The length of the system is flexible because the shaft is stackable and can be extended by 500mm per extension.

Animal Prevention
If the ventilation shaft is positioned in a wooded or animal-rich environment, there is a chance that unwanted intruders (mice, rats, and birds) might try to nest in the pipe. To prevent this, a stainless steel mesh module is included in the cap; it is designed for small animals and not for insects. The mesh module is removable for cleaning purposes.

Sizes and Colors
The TilVent-125 stainless steel ventilation shaft is the smallest TilVent ventilation shaft, particularly suitable for crawl space and basement ventilation. It is standardly delivered in matte stainless steel but can be delivered in a color upon request.
