T177-160 Ross cowl, beige
An alternative ventilation solution for ventilating crawl spaces, basements, and other below-ground level spaces, as well as for supplying air to fireplaces and low-placed machines or ventilation systems. This model 160 is also ideal for cooktop extraction or so-called downdraft kitchen extraction through the crawl space.
The Ross ventilation shaft is suitable for both air supply and exhaust. The semi-circular design appeals to both architects and building owners.
The plastic ventilation shaft, made of polypropylene (PP), provides good protection against rainwater because the outlet is well above ground level. The length of the system is flexible because vertical extension pieces of 450mm in length are available, which can also be shortened to size. The risk of moisture penetration cannot be completely ruled out, the system is not groundwater-tight, and any condensation can drain through openings at the bottom of the bend.
The length of the T177 ventilation shafts is easily extended with vertical extension pieces of 450mm in length. The extension pieces can also be shortened to size.
This allows for any intermediate length. A complete set includes 1 extension piece as standard, making the standard height approximately 1m. Additional extension pieces are available separately.
For connection to existing systems or built-in pipes that are already on the exterior of the facade, an adapter is available. The dark gray adapter fits pipes with an outer diameter of ø160. The adapter should be mounted in place of the standard bend piece, preferably below ground level. In this situation, a complete set is not necessary, but the individual parts; a cap, adapter and possibly an extension piece, are needed.
Note: for cooktop extraction, it is recommended to include a non-return valve 160mm somewhere in the system to prevent unwanted backflow of air (draft).
